I am not afraid to keep on living

Famous Last Words by My Chemical Romance

It’s 1:11 in the morning and I’m tired. But I don’t think I’ll be able to sleep. Not entirely sure why.

I finally got to see Vampires Suck and I thought it was hilarious. One of my friends who went with me knows nothing about Twilight other than that Edward is a vampire, Jacob is a werewolf, and that Bella is semi-sorta in love with both and has to choose. And that’s it’s just an overly mary-sue, sappy love story and a rather pathetic attempt at a novel. (Which I realize pretty much sums up the entire series, but whatever.) She said she liked it a lot. So it’s not just because I’ve seen the movies — besides Eclipse — and read all the books.

For the record, I used to like the books, then realized I was an idiot, and the movies I only watch because they’re good to make fun of with a group of friends.

School starts soon. On the first. I have a lot of homework to do yet. And I work like every day this week. Thursday I’m going to Chicago with a friend. Soon after that I’m doing her senior photos. I’m kind of nervous. I’ve never done an actual photoshoot before that was… you know, with real people. With necessary to be publicly displayed results.

Wish me luck.

I also got a tumbleblog because I wanted to do a photoblog on an easy to use platform. And that is where I am, once again, attempting the 365 project. I will post random things, like answering questions/comments people leave, reblogging of other things on occasion and whatever other random, misc stuff I feel like. But this is going to always remain my actual blog. Important stuff that I actually want to write about will go here. Senseless nonsense will go there. It’s main purpose is a photoblog though, as I’ve said. So feel free to stalk it if you wish.

Sunday morning, rain is fallin’

Sunday Morning by Maroon 5.

I love this song so much.

A lot has happened since my last update, which was quite a while ago really. I just found out today that I did, in fact, get accepted into the Illinois Institute of Art! And as per request by my adviser, you should all know the school is awesome. So that kind of tones down my worries about college. I know where I’m going, and I know when. I just have to figure out how I’m going to pay for it, haha. So that leaves me with a year to tackle as many scholarships as I possibly can.

As of August 30th, I no longer am employed by a gas station. As of September 1st, I am employed by a truck stop/restaurant as a buser/dish person. Wish me luck with the new job!

I got my deviantART bag for my camera and it is awesome. It’s just a little awkward to use right now because it’s so top heavy. That’s where the camera goes. And the bottom is currently empty because I do not own any lenses. I’ve considered transferring my uncle’s film camera into it just to add more weight to make it sit right but. Hah.

I started a painting of Bear. I kind of should get to work on that again, actually.

I started Beowulf, and I love it. I have to do three journal entries per book (Beowulf and Oedipus) and I got one third of the way through Beowulf, so I have one sixth of my assignment done. Haha. I just haven’t done more because it’s much easier to read when I don’t have the computer in use. At the time, I was doing updates/virus scans/defragmenting and everything. Which is why I got so much done.

I finished Call of Duty 4 – Modern Warfare. I played it last weekend with my uncle and we took turns finishing it off. Now I need to get Call of Duty 4 – Modern Warfare 2. Also, when they come out, I need LittleBigPlanet 2 and Batman – Arkham City.

Band Camp starts next week. During that time I’m going to be doing my APUSH homework with my friend as well as going to see the new Cats and Dogs movie. I remember the first one from when I was little. I really wanted to see Vampires Suck! It looks hilarious. I loved the Scary Movies though so that’s probably why.

I have ordered four shirts from Threadless. One I ordered earlier this week and was shipped already (waiting for it to come) and the other three I ordered first today. One of them I got for the purpose of my senior pictures, which I have to take. As soon as I find my tripod at any rate. It should be interesting, doing this myself. I wish I had someone to at least give me a hand, ha.

And… that’s it. I think.

THE Face (by popular demand) and Mac’s a freak. Just sayin’.

Tuesday, July 6th, 2010

I’m glad you all enjoyed the last video. Haha. So I uploaded some more onto Youtube so that I can give them to Dusty, and I decided that I might put one of them in each blog until all of them that I’m okay with sharing are up. Because there’s a lot, I figure it would suck to have all of them in one blog. Spread it out a bit and all. :D

So this is the next one, which I am only putting up by popular demand. Popular demand pretty much consisting of my friend Sin demanding I do it. And I’m sure Dusty would thoroughly enjoy my embarrassment considering I did put one of her up.

But I think she enjoyed the last one. She said something about wanting to rant some more, haha.

So yes, that is me and all my freakish glory in the first bit. But then it cuts to Dusty freaking out while I continue to make the face. And mind you, if I make the face while on Skype, she still freaks out. I feel pretty accomplished, to be honest.

When I was moving back into my room (I had my laptop out in the living room because I was watching The Hunchback of Notredame, huzzah), I walked past Mac’s cage and noticed that he was sleeping. Which isn’t unusual. I put him to bed at nine usually, and he falls asleep shortly after. And I am very well aware that it sounds like I’m talking about a kid. But I might as well be. I have to bathe, feed and water him. Which is like any other pet. But he also needs twelve hours of lights out that requires me to shut off everything but his Ceramic Heat Emitter and cover his cage with a blanket (to avoid the sun, since I can’t exactly shut that off).

Usually when he sleeps, he sleeps on his log that reaches up so he’s pretty close to the CHE and his lights are right above him. His most frequented spot, really. Well, not this time. Apparently this time he wanted to be a little closer to his only heatsource at nighttime. He was — and still is — clinging to the bars of his cage right in front of the CHE and sleeping.

I did have to use the flash, which is something I hate using. I apologize for the terrible quality. I just wanted to get the point across. And you can see that he is clinging to the bars. And no, he did not wake up. I’m pretty sure I could flash a lightbulb in front of his face for an hour and he wouldn’t wake up.

… There is a very irritating fly buzzing around my head.

1. How is your summer vacation going so far?
2. Do your pets do anything really weird?

EDIT: Maybe I’ll put up the wallpaper I made awhile ago from the pictures by Lake Mich. … And maybe my new mouse one. Haha.
