Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I updated, but I guess I kind of have an excuse. Or a few excuses, rather.
First and foremost, I HAVE A NEW CAMERA. Yes, on the fifteenth, right before band, I picked my dad up from work (to save time) and we went to BestBuy. The camera I got is the wonderbar Canon EOS 50D. It is gorgeous. The attention to aperture it gives in comparison to my old camera is intoxicating. I can’t wait until I can eventually get around to saving up money and getting new lenses — I’ve already got them picked out. :D

EF 28mm f/2.8 (wide-angle)
EF 15mm f/2.8 Fisheye (wide-angle / fisheye)
EF 50mm f/2.5 Compact Macro
There’s obviously more that I love — and better quality ones of those listed — but lenses can run almost as expensive, if not more than, the price paid for the camera itself so I’m going to stick with the cheaper ones. xD The most expensive one there is the Fisheye and that’s the only lens of that kind listed on the website, so I can’t go with a cheaper option. :C
Besides that, my uncle is also in the process of moving. I’ve spent every morning helping him out. Then this coming week, I work the morning shift every day except Wednesday, which will be spent cleaning my uncle’s apartment, and then band, joy.
I love cameras. The one I have right now could use an upgrade, but I need a job before that’ll happen :P I agree that lenses are very very expensive! I guess thats what you have to pay for the best photo quality though :S
YESSS! Congrats on getting your camera! I’m sure you’ll get your lenses soon, too. I’ve never really heard of any of those lenses, except vaguely the fish eye, but I bet they all have fabulously awesome effects and such. Yay photography!
And what instrument do you play? I’ve always been musically challenged, but my sister’s been a clarinetist in our school band for a really long time.
I’ve heard that this camera is very good. When I buy a new one, it’s gonna be that or Nikon D90. Lenses can get really expensive, but you can buy the same ones at a secondhand store.
I’m new to your website so I have to tell you that your layout is pretty! I like the simple look you give to it.
@ Lydia: They do have awesome effects. Especially wide-angle. I adore photos taken with that kind of lens.
I play saxophone. I started out on tenor, went to baritone saxophone, and now I’m solely on alto. I used to love it more than I do now but I’m reluctant to quit because for one my dad would be mad and for two, I only have a year left. xD And it is the only thing that guarantees that I end up having lunch with my friends. x:
