I have been here many times before

I’ve decided, since I kind of stink at coming up with titles for things, I’ll just use song lyrics. Unless it is an article or something that does have an actual title. This blog’s title comes from Breathe Me by Sia. I love this song so much, and the music video is simply fantastic.

I have also decided that I’m going to try to blog more. Previously I tried to wait and give people a chance to read and comment if they so chose, considering I don’t have many visitors each day. But, if I end up blogging twice in the same day now, so be it. I’m just letting you know so that you can check for more than one, if you are an avid reader.

Today marked the first day of a long week of working morning shifts. It went pretty well, which is probably because the boss was gone. Where he was, I don’t know, but I can’t honestly complain. It’s not that I don’t like him, or that he scares me (like my co-workers suggest he does one of the other stockers). It’s just that, it’s uncomfortable. I feel tons more pressure to not mess up even though he usually has something to complain about anyway. So things just tend to go smoother when he’s not there.

The only good thing is that now I have the rest of the day to do whatever I please, rather than having to take a few hours off to go and work second shift.

At work today when I was in the cooler, I was looking at Mountain Dew and Mello Yello. I always find it amusing how most people (to my understanding) prefer Coke over Pepsi, although one is hard pressed to come across someone who hates Mountain Dew, which is actually a Pepsi product. Coke’s alternative is Mello Yello which is my personal preference, although I am not against Mountain Dew. MY and MD are similar in actual contents as well, although MY has less sodium. They both have the same total calorie intake, yet they have varying 8 fl oz calorie intake (like, you know how the nutritional facts list “8 fl oz” and “for this package” or whatever). Can anyone explain how that works? D:

I just thought it was weird. And figured I’d bring it up. Whoo for random, pointless conversation.

I also kind of want to make a new layout. Yes, yes, I know. I’m an idiot. But I can’t help it.

And one last thing… I WANT ONE!

1. Which do YOU prefer: coke or pepsi?

PORCUPINE= SO CUTE. I’m putting that on my list of “Animals I Want in my Zoo When I’m Old And Have a Ton of Money.” Just as long as it’s a friendly porcupine like that one, and not one that’s going to kill me with its spikes. I’ll keep it with my zebra, and some other assorted cute fuzzy things like maybe a koala bear.

Blogging more… I’m torn on this. I love reading more frequent posts on OTHER people’s blogs, but I don’t like posting on my own more often than every 4 days because I feel like I need to let people comment.

And now, for your question! I never really had a preference either way for Coke or Pepsi- it took me forever to really taste much of a difference at all, and the only thing I really notice is that Pepsi is a little sweeter. I like them both! In general, I don’t even pay attention to the brand that a soda’s made by- I just go by what I want (lemon-lime, cola, root beer….) and whichever brand I see first. (Although I’ve never actually had Mello Yello. It’s a bit of a rare commodity here. But I did see it a lot more when we were down in Georgia!)

I don’t drink pop. so I prefer nether Pepsi nor coke. Also mellow yellow i have never heard of it be for now. Also i love your layout for your website very simple and pleasing.

I am commenting simply to say two things.

Number one; you are a total jerk, but thank you for listening to yet another one of my BRILLIANT IDEAS / cough cough -

Number two; coke. All day. Every day.

More blogs, that’s exciting! D: Especially if they come with adorable creatures like that porcupine! Oh my god, it’s so CUTE! @_@ I definitely want one, although I don’t think I’d be able to hug it, which could be a problem. Plus my dogs would get jealous! Haha. But Emily, I’m going to visit your zoo every day and fawn over the cute zebra-and-porcupines who are happily and adorably co-existing.

And I know what you mean about the boss thing; it’s always easier to get things done (not that we really do much, so I guess I’ll say get away with things) when the boss isn’t around, except he’s usually there at the pool, where I work. And he’s a creeper! What is it about creepy bosses? o_O

I prefer coke, I just always have. Pepsi’s really not that bad, though! And while I’ve heard of Mountain Dew, and actually don’t really like it that much – I like Sprite and 7-11 better – I’ve never heard of Mello Yello. But then I do live on the east coast, and mountain dew isn’t even that prominent here.

  5. the entity of complaint says:

neither. ew. chery pepsi is okay.

  6. Amanda says:

@ Emily: I will come to your zoo EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE.

I’m pretty much the same, but at the same time, I really want to update more. It makes me feel like the site is less useless, and I’m actually a better part of the blogging community. Haha. If that makes sense.

@ Lydia: I WANT ONE, TOO.

I didn’t know that sodas were a regional thing. How interesting.

@ Sarah: Cherry Pepsi used to be my favorite.

Oh dear, I need a job but sadly, I can’t drive :( I actually hate soda with a burning passion!! xD I just hate the carbonation in it… so I don’t like either pepsi or coke!

I think a portfolio would be fun! Except I think my photography/art isn’t really worthy of it xD Maybe I’ll take a the class next year at school…
